ABSTRACT
Teacher's Day is an important and dedicated day especially dedicated to teachers. The day recognizes the
importance of education and provides an opportunity to support the teachers' union. On this day, students and
the community also get an opportunity to express their gratitude towards teachers. 5th September is celebrated
as Teacher's Day all over the country. It is the teacher who nurtures values, culture, and qualities. On Teacher's
Day, a cultured child takes blessings from the teacher and asks for good wishes. The teacher also bestows
blessings with a pure heart. The relationship between teacher and disciple becomes stronger. Remember them
throughout life. Today's education is good for livelihood but not for human development. The teacher can also
elaborate on the topic with examples from his life. Unless the teacher is involved in the life of the student, the
objectives of education cannot be achieved. Today only teachers can improve many problems of the society.
The excitement of this day increases the importance of education socially and gives an opportunity to the
students to feel appreciation and gratitude towards their teachers. This day is a good medium to maintain
strong teacher-student relationship. Teacher’s Day even reminds students that education is the key to progress
and prosperity in the society and teachers have an important contribution in it. Along with this, teachers are
also honoured for their hardships and hard work.
Key words: craftsman, best citizen, path pavesman, great work
INTRODUCTION
The meaning of teacher is not only to give; the meaning of teacher is also to take. The more we learn from
books, internet, environment, experiences and dialogue, the better teachers we will be able to become. Dr.
Radhakrishnan had immense devotion towards Indian culture. He continuously tried to take India to the
horizon in the field of education. Dr. Radhakrishnan, who dedicated his birthday as Teacher's Day, had
immense respect for teachers in his heart. Even if a person receives education throughout his life, some chapter
of education remains incomplete. But the teacher who is called the nation builder of India wants to see his
image in his disciple. A teacher is one who can build the character of the country as per his wish. To be able to
pass on the values of our country to the future generations of the country. Education is meaningful only if it
can create a characterful society and positive thinking for the country. In the education that was being given in
India till now, India's values were ridiculed and foreigners were praised. Such foreigners were also included in
this, who left no stone unturned to destroy Indianness. By reading such characters, today's generation is
moving away from the values of India. But the teachers of our country should also understand what education
should be given to the students. Education is very precious and valuable. Due to which the student not only
expands his own knowledge but also strengthens the country. Dr. Radhakrishnan, in his book Political Thinker
of Modern India, has explained the importance of teachers and education in a democratic country like India.
According to Dr. Radhakrishnan, teachers play an important role in the building of the country and because of
this they deserve more respect. In India, since ancient times, the relationship between Guru and disciple has
been full of the spirit of dedication. Guru shapes the future of the country. The present generation is the future
of the country. The character of the country will be shaped by the values that the Guru imparts to the young
generation. Teachers are the backbone of every person's life. It is the teacher who teaches the new meaning of
life to the students. They show us the right path and prevent us from doing anything wrong. They can see from
outside. They care about each student and wish for their growth. Do not forget the student who does not
