Simulation of Higher Order All Pass Filter using OTRA

Abstract— In this research paper, a single-input single-output (SISO) care presented. The presented design is based on the Operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA) and it is preferred due to its high slew rate and wider bandwidth over the conventional operational amplifier circuit. Here Butterworth, Chebyshev and Bessel Higher order All Pass filter structure are simulated with PSPICE using 0.5μm CMOS technology; also simulated result follows the theoretical one.

I. INTRODUCTION
Operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA) has emerged as an alternate current mode analog building block [1-4].The OTRA is also known as current differencing amplifier or Norton amplifier. OTRA is a high gain current input, voltage output device. Both input and output impedance of the OTRA is low value. The input terminals of OTRA are internally grounded, thereby eliminating parasitic capacitances at the input [5]. Input resistance also reduced due to this grounded input. And it gives some advantage over the current mode analog building blocks like operational transconductance amplifier OTA [6], DVCC [7], current conveyer (CC) [8-10] , CDBA [11] etc. Elimination of the parasitic capacitance at the input terminal which are internally generated is the main strength of an OTRA and prosodies high slew rate and bandwidth. OTRA based several analog filters are represented in [12-17] and reference cited there in, they all involve more than single OTRA. No paper are presented till date on Butterworth, Chebyshev and Bessel second order all pass filter structure using Operational transresistance amplifier.
The proposed work is made to develop a second order All Pass filter structure with an OTRA that exhibit Butterworth, Chebyshev and Bessel filter response.
