Strategic Innovation and Organizational Effectiveness in Nigeria’s Telecommunication Sector

Abstract
Despite substantial investments in digital transformation, network modernization, and technological innovation, many telecommunications firms in Nigeria continue to experience operational inefficiencies due largely to service quality challenges, customer dissatisfaction, and inconsistent organizational performance. This paper critically examines the role of strategic innovation in enhancing organizational effectiveness through a synthesis of contemporary theoretical and empirical literature, with particular reference to Nigeria's telecommunications industry. The review is anchored on the trio of Resource-Based View, Knowledge-Based View, and Dynamic Capabilities Theory. Findings indicate that organizational effectiveness extends beyond financial performance to include operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, organizational resilience, innovation capability, and strategic agility. The review further reveals that strategic innovation enhances organizational effectiveness primarily through the development
