Abstract
The rapid expansion of digital marketing has transformed consumer behavior in India’s beauty and fashion industry, particularly within the cosmetics sector. Social media platforms, online advertisements, celebrity endorsements, and emerging digital strategies have become central to how consumers perceive and purchase beauty products. This study investigates the impact of digital branding on consumer outlook, focusing on the role of influencers, celebrity-driven campaigns, and interactive technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and personalized recommendations.
A quantitative survey of 500 respondents across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India was conducted to analyze consumer trust, purchase intent, and loyalty in relation to digital marketing practices. Findings reveal that social media engagement strongly correlates with purchase decisions, while authenticity in celebrity branding enhances consumer trust. The paper concludes that digital-first strategies are reshaping the Indian cosmetics market, with implications for sustainable branding and future marketing innovations.
