Abstract

The hiring strategy is one of the most important parts of keeping a company's engine running. Hiring the right people will push the organization forward with innovation and expertise. But it’s not all about recruiting new talent (Attar et al., 2025). Some of the best hires may actually be already working for the organization. There are pros and cons to hiring both external candidates and looking inside the company’s existing talent pool. In this article, the author presents the benefits and challenges of both internal and external recruitment and also provides some best practices.
