Abstract: Volterra integro-differential equations appear in many branches of engineering, physics, biology, astronomy, radiology and having many interesting applications such as process of glass forming, diffusion process, heat and mass transfer, growth of cells and describing the motion of satellite. In this paper, authors determine the solution of convolution type Volterra integro-differential equation of first kind using Kamal transformation. Four numerical problems have been considered and solved using Kamal transformation for explaining the applicability of present method. Results of numerical problems show that Kamal transformation is very effective for handling the problem of determining the solution of convolution type Volterra integro-differential equation of first kind.
Keywords: Volterra integro-differential equation; Kamal transformation; Convolution; Inverse Kamal transformation.
