Abstract
This paper evaluated the effect of leadership styles on the productivity of an organization to ascertain their roles in determining organizational efficiency and efficacy. A comprehensive review of foundational literature on leadership and management paradigms was compiled to ground this study. The findings reveal that relying on a singular, rigid leadership style often degrades efficiency, resulting in poor organizational productivity. Given that adaptive leadership is an indispensable mechanism for organizational survival, this paper recommends the strategic adoption of situational leadership frameworks. Leaders must dynamically adjust their styles to optimize subordinate motivation and successfully achieve overarching organizational goals.
