Abstract
The study aims to identify and systematically describe the challenges faced by Islamic education educators in using digital technology during teaching and learning, as well as the ways in which they overcome those challenges. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was employed using the PRISMA 2020 approach. A total of ten articles published over the last ten years were analysed. The findings show that the main challenges faced by Islamic education educators include infrastructural constraints such as the lack of computer laboratories, multimedia rooms, and weak internet access, in addition to a moderate level of teacher readiness in mastering ICT skills. Nevertheless, Islamic education educators have adopted various strategies to address these challenges by improving their ICT competencies and using creative teaching approaches in virtual environments. This study is expected to serve as a reference for stakeholders and future researchers in strengthening the implementation of digital teaching and learning, particularly in the field of Islamic education.
