Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI), corruption, institutional quality, and economic growth. It also tests whether corruption explains part of the FDI-growth link and whether institutional quality changes that relationship.
Methodology: The study used structural equation modelling (SEM) to test direct, indirect, and moderating effects together. The time series data were tested for stationarity using the Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) and Phillips-Perron (PP) tests to ensure the results were reliable.
