Abstract

Our examination of 32 papers sourced from the Web of Science databases indicates an increasing academic focus on the correlation between the concept and framework of bank stability. From 2010 to 2024, these papers cover a range of theoretical models and frameworks. In addition, most of these studies employed linear regression. Despite notable progress, the understanding of bank stability as a concept is still lacking, especially regarding its influence on total bank stability. The concept of bank stability is less widely utilised in economic theory, asset management theory, and asymmetric information theory. Moreover, since current phenomena such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change will affect bank stability, institutional theory needs to be explored in detail to examine organizational change and pressure and to determine the direction of future actions. Comparisons between countries can also be explored, using non-linear and mixed methodologies to provide additional insights.
