Abstract
This paper examines the significant impact of robotics on healthcare, highlighting its contribution to improving operational efficiency and transforming workforce dynamics. The integration of diverse robotic systems, including surgical, rehabilitation, and service robots, has significantly enhanced the precision and accuracy of complex medical procedures, reduced the chance of errors and improved patient outcomes. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enhances administrative functions by automating repetitive procedures, therefore minimizing human error, expediting workflows, and lowering expenses. Rehabilitation robots assist patients in recovering motor functions, whilst service robots manage logistical duties, enhancing safety and efficiency in hospital operations. Nevertheless, these developments, the integration of robotics encounters obstacles, such as increased implementation expenses, the need for specialist training, and uncertainties about data privacy and security. Human-robot collaboration (HRC) has become an essential area, highlighting the importance of integrating technology with human oversight. Ethical considerations, including equitable access to robotic treatment and patient confidentiality, are crucial for promoting trust and acceptance. This study highlights the need for continuous research, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and investment to tackle these challenges and ensure the sustainable incorporation of robotics in healthcare, hence enhancing operational outcomes and workforce satisfaction.
