Abstract

This descriptive-correlational study examined the relationship between parental satisfaction with the Emergency Learning Kit (ELK) and Grade 4 learners' academic motivation during the school year 2025–2026. Using stratified random sampling, data was gathered from 162 learner-parent pairs via adapted questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the Mann-Whitney test. The findings revealed that parents were "very satisfied" with the, and learners were "highly motivated". Demographic profiles had no significant impact on either variable, indicating the ELK's uniform effectiveness across diverse backgrounds. The study concludes that the ELK effectively drives parental satisfaction and learner motivation. It suggests that the Department of Education support and enhance ELK distribution, improve the kit's design, provide clearer instructional guides for parents, and actively foster continuous parental involvement to maintain high student motivation.
