Abstract
Occupational Safety and Risk Management Program is a multidisciplinary area that entails identifying, preventing, and controlling hazards in the workplace in order to improve worker’s health, which is one of the enhancement programs. In any aspect of human endeavor, there is a genuine concern for occupational safety. This study assessed the workers’ safety on land transportation company and develop procedures to reduce the likelihood of unpleasant incidents occurring. Descriptive-comparative and correlational research design were used. A survey questionnaire was used to collect data, which was then statistically analyzed. The majority of workers are in a safe environment at work. The land transportation workers’ safety, risk management practices and employee involvement significantly vary when they were grouped according to age, sex, educational attainment, and classification. To strengthen and enhance the safety and risk management practices, a training program may be designed and implemented to improve workers’ safety culture, risk management practices and employee involvement for the better management of risk that employees face at work.
