Abstract
This study examined the effects of Self-Efficacy and University Support on the Perceived Employability of MBA graduates from selected private higher education institutions in Klang Valley, Malaysia. A quantitative survey method was employed using a structured questionnaire, with 153 valid responses obtained from 230 questionnaires distributed. The data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 30 and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4. The results showed that both Self-Efficacy and University Support had significant positive effects on Perceived Employability, with University Support demonstrating a slightly stronger influence. Both hypotheses were supported. The findings suggest that a combination of individual capabilities and institutional support shapes perceived Employability. Accordingly, universities may strengthen graduates’ employability through career development initiatives, industry engagement, and academic and professional support. The findings also provide useful insights to help MBA graduates develop their confidence, capabilities, and career-related competencies to enhance their employability.
