The principal objective of enhancement techniques is to process an image so that the result is more suitable than the original image for a specific application. Image enhancement techniques used in many areas such that Forensics, Astrophotography, Fingerprint matching etc. In image processing, low contrast image analysis is a challenging problem. Low contrast digital images reduce the ability of observer in analyzing the image. Here we propose a new method for low contrast color images enhancement. This method uses two step processing, in first step global contrast stretching method is applied to improve the contrast of image and then in second step global and local contrast enhancement(GLCE) is performed because applying the local contrast enhancement along with global contrast enhancement is much better than that of global contrast enhancement only or local contrast enhancement only. To evaluate the effectiveness of our method we choose two widely used metrics Absolute Mean Brightness Error (AMBE) and PSNR. Based on results of these two metrics this algorithm is proved as a flexible and effective way for low contrast image enhancement.

This project involves discovering a new way altogether for the identification of books and finding a lost book in a library. Today, what we use to keep the track of books is the old and outdated barcode technology, which generally involves providing each book with a unique barcode and then scanning all books one by one just to find that particular book. The new method suggested from the groundwork of our research is the usage of RFID technology for this tiresome and time taking job. The new method involves usage of electronic tags to store identification data and a wireless transmitter or reader to capture it. The results seen during the testing has been good and several organizations are mandating to use RFID to track asset.

Brands are betting big on the storytelling format of long duration advertisements or series of ads. Digital medium today gives brands the opportunity to delve deep into the heart and minds of their consumers through long duration ads or series of ads. Long duration ads have undoubtedly allowed the brands to go beyond the regular 30-seconder short format which not only used to restrict the brands from highlighting its essential story but was also a challenge for the advertising agency to integrate the essence of the brand. The duration of ads have now increased from 30 seconds to 3 to 4 minutes. Everyone surely remembers and cherishes the long-format ads like Google re-union; British Airways’ A Ticket to Visit Mum, Fortune oil, Amazon’s ‘when a woman shops’, Tata Sky Prison break, Dabur Vatika’s Brave & Beautiful and many more. Brands like DBS, Google, Amazon, Star Sports, Vodafone launched their brand story through a series of ads in an innovative manner leaving a high impact on each and every consumer. The storytelling long-format of ads or series of ads make the consumers connect quite closely with the product’s core thought thereby leaving a high impact on them with possibly a better engagement.
The storytelling long-format ad or series of ads allows for greater creative freedom and thus allows various routes to customer education, product information/gamification, category and brand build and customer engagement. Engagement can be built around these storytelling long-format ad or series of ads thus captivating customers for even longer.
The advantage of a well-made, clutter breaking, creative storytelling ad – irrespective of its format (long duration or short duration) is that its impact is far greater than a run-of-the-mill ad. While advertising should never be created with duration in mind (as a constraint), the fact is the duration factor does affect them subliminally. Every creative person will reject an idea in his/her own mind if he/she thinks it warrants more than 40-seconds of air time. With diktats like product window and consumption shots also being forced on them by the client, it is natural that most creatives are on expected lines. In that context it is wonderful to see a 4-minute storytelling long-format ad being created for a brand. Brands today are going beyond making the stereotype ads that shows consumption, comparison, product windows etc. Brands are finding ways of communication for better consumer engagement and here is where storytelling long-format ads or series of ads are helping them do it more effectively.

Online shopping has been intruding in all sector and walks of life. As businesses are expanding it brick to click, it is highly relevant for consumers and businesses to understand the consumer perception. India has witnessed new changes in evolving grocery shopping styles such as online grocery shopping which is constructed by retailers to attract the consumers. This paper intends to understand the consumer perception of online grocery shopping and the impact of demographic factors on the same. To find out the facts, 200 respondents were considered as sample size and data was collected through structured questionnaire. SPSS was used to analyse data and findings were interpreted. The major findings are there is impact of demographics on consumer perception on online grocery shopping and monthly saving and budget control are possible. The important dimensions considered for online grocery shopping are listed. This paper would be relevant for the people and businesses that are interested and impacted by online grocery shopping.

Abstract:
Objectives: Stroke is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The prevalence rates of stroke in rural areas are much lower than in metropolitan cities in India. Gait is considered as a dynamic and biological structure that sub serves locomotion and exhibits a periodic relationship among successive states of supporting limbs.
Aim: To investigate the effect of RAS on gait parameters following stroke.
Methodology: Quasi experimental study, pre and post-test design.
Procedure: Subjects were randomly selected according to selection criteria and assigned into group A and group B. Group A took conventional gait training, group B took RAS along with conventional gait training.
Conclusion: The present study concludes that group B- conventional gait training with RAS is effective than group A – conventional gait training alone.

Objectives: To evaluate and examine whether strengthening lower extremity improves gait speed, cadence and stride length and motor activity in cerebral palsy children.
Design: Experimental design, Randomized controlled trial.
Settings: The study was conducted at the Spastic Society of Tamil Nadu, Taramani and Royapuram, Chennai.
Procedure: 30 Subjects with age group 5-14 years with diplegic cerebral palsy who can walk for atleast 45m with GMFCS level I and II are divided into two groups, one group is controlled where as other was an experimental group. Group-A trained with strength training and Group-B receives conventional physiotherapy.
Results: The significant results of this study shows improvement in gait performance in the experimental group form mean value 98 in pre-test to 123.7 in post-test.
Conclusion: The study concludes that there was significant improvement of gait performance with short programme of lower extremity strength training than 5 week lower extremity training in control group.

Abstract:
Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy of stationary bicycling intervention for children with spastic diplegia has significant improvement in gross motor function of standing and walking.
Design: Experimental design, convenient sampling method.
Settings: The study was conducted at the Spastic Society of Tamil Nadu, Taramani, and Chennai.
Procedure: 30 Subjects with age group 8¬-15 years with spasticity score 1 and 1+ in hip and knee extensors and ankle plantar flexors, ability to walk independently indoors and with good or fair voluntary control in lower limbs are divided into two groups, one group is controlled where as other was an experimental group.
Results: The significant results of this study shows that p value of group-B is lesser than 0.01 and group-A shows lesser than 0.000.
Conclusion: The study concludes that there was significant improvement of motor activity in both groups. The results of the subjects who trained with stationary cycling shown good motor recovery than control groups.

Abstract:-
Objectives: To determine the effects of high intensity resistance training in improving lower extremity muscle strength and self-reported function in post stroke patients.
Design: Quasi experimental design.
Settings: The study was conducted at the SRM General Hospital, Ramapuram, Chennai.
Procedure: 30 Subjects were allocated into two groups. Group-A are given conventional therapy, along with high intensity exercises like bilateral leg press, unilateral paretic limb knee extension, unilateral ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion. Subjects in Group-B received conventional therapy alone.
Results: The results shows that there is a significant difference in transfers and stairs in pre and post outcome measures in control group p=0.000 and there is no statistical significant different in flexors muscle group of pre and post outcome measures between experimental and control group.
Conclusion: The improvement in the strength and functional outcome confirms the therapeutic benefits of high intensity resistance training in post stroke hemiplegic subjects.

Objective: Patello- femoral knee pain is a common compliant of athletes and non-athlets of both genders. The prevalence of PFPS has been shown to be as high as one in four in the atheletic population. In a study of 83 runners treated for knee compaints 57.5% were diagnosed with PFPS
Methodology: STUDY DESIGN: A controlled laboratory study, STUDY DURATION: four weeks, SETTING: YMCA College of physical education, Chennai., SAMPLE SIZE: 26 samples.
Procedure: The sports population in the YMCA College of physical education and Ullagaram cricket club was screened for patellofemoral dysfunction using the patellofemoral functional scale. The eligible 26 subjects (17 males and 9 females) were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria and informed consent form was obtained the subjects after explanation about PFPS, the subjects were separated into two groups namely A and B.
Conclusion: As the closed kinetic exercise had a marginal significant better results while compared to that of the open kinetic exercises, both are significant in treating PFPS.

Abstract:
Objective: The purpose of the study is to find the effectiveness of TENS in reducing postural instability in stroke patients with and without neglect.
Methodology: STUDY DESIGN: Experimental study, SAMPLE SIZE: 30 Samples, STUDY SETTING: Vijaya hospital and home based study.
Procedure: 30 patients were selected based on the selection criteria in that 15 stroke patients with neglect and 15 stroke patients without neglect.
Conclusion: This study was done on 15 stroke patients with neglect and 15 stroke patients without neglect who is scoring 1 in unsupported sitting of berg balance scale were selected to apply TENS.

Nano thin films have found a vast application in today’s world. Thin film studies have directly or indirectly advanced many new areas. Thin films due to its different properties in nano range provide a large scope to be used in miniature size devices. In comparison to monolayer thin films, multilayer thin films are supposed to exhibit far more enhanced properties. The purpose of this paper is to review the fabrication techniques, advantages and applications of multilayer thin film. In addition to this the paper also emphasis on the properties of cadmium sulphide and cadmium zinc sulphide. Multilayer thin film of cadmium sulphide and cadmium zinc sulphide can be used for the better performance of the solar cells and other photoconductive devices. Multilayer thin films are the subject of continued technological advances made in the fields of optoelectronic and photonic devices. The multilayer thin films can be characterized by different techniques. The study of these techniques and materials gives a chance to bring out some more unique properties by using them in a new way.

Railway transportation traffic control in India is centralized which sometimes delay the action on its accidental situation. Wireless sensor network systems will suit the railways much more. In this laser sensing and wireless communication proposition there can be an alternative to control the trains from many hazardous accidents causing loss of life and property.

1. Introduction
In view of growing complexity of the waste that is generated in India and the dynamic operating environment, as regards increase in population, there is enormous increase in the problems of health related issues due to which the economic development of any nation can come to a grinding halt. Therefore the study of waste management and its problems have become very significant, especially in the areas of finance and business administration. Waste at the apex level may be visualized as a non avoidable ingredient and has become a part and parcel of daily lives. While wastes can take any form ranging from household, industrial, constructional that has been instrumental in causing life threatening diseases, it is vital to attack the same when they are in the nascent stage.

This project deals with 304 SS weldment properties on TIG welding. 304 SS contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel which has higher corrosion resistance. The base metal 304 SS is welded using the process parameters such as current, voltage and welding angle, the influence of these parameters on weld zone is studied. Tensile test is carried out to find the strength of weld. Salt spray test is conducted at weld zone to identify the corrosive resistance of material. Since it widely used in Marine applications.

Group signature, as the name specifies is a special kind of signature scheme which allows a group of users to sign a message by preserving the constraints of anonymity and traceability. There are a lot of such schemes proposed by using number theoretic concepts. The emergence of quantum computers in the near future is making the existence of number theory based cryptographic constructions under scrutiny. Since lattice based cryptography overcomes the drawbacks of number theory based constructions, the post quantum world is interested in the lattice theory based constructions. This paper discusses about different lattice based group signatures.

The improvement in power scenario will affect the economic development of a country. So it is necessary to give prior importance in power improvement. India is a large populated country and the electricity supply need of this population creates requirement of large transmission and distribution system. Transmission line is an integrated system consisting of conductor subsystem, ground wire subsystem and one subsystem for each category of support structure. Line losses play an important role in its efficiency. Reduction in its losses will improve the power scenario in India. With this view, this paper describes about the reconductoring method and its affect in power system.

This research methodology is a part of my Ph.D. research thesis. The topic of the research was “study of HR practices related to Health, Safety and Welfare in the automobile industry situated in the Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial area, Pune, Maharashtra”. This chapter will be useful for the scholars preparing for Ph. D. in management science. This part contains research motivation, rational behind selection of OEMs, Problem statement and Rationale and Significance of the Study. Further it focuses on objectives, hypothesis, limitations and research design. The research design explains in detail Unit of analysis, results of Pilot Survey and modifications in questionnaire, dependent and independent variables used, measurement scale used for response, Likert scale and A Review of Measurement Scales Used in Previous Researches. Validity, Reliability and Practicability, primary and secondary sources of data, determination of sample size, Basis of Stratification, Justification for Purposive Sampling, ways of data collection and their advantages and disadvantages are elaborated in detail. At the end it takes review of data Analysis and justifies statistical tools applied for hypothesis testing.

Microgrid rarely operates in parallel with the main grid. Microgrid operates in an islanded mode or grid connected mode. When the connection with the grid is required, this referred to as synchronization. The synchronization of generator with grid by using traditional synchronizer is easy method of synchronization, but the synchronization of microgrid with the main grid is very difficult because microgrid operates with multiple Distributed generators that produced power together and critical loads. This paper proposes an Automatic synchronization scheme that provides the smooth synchronization of microgrid with main grid.

This work represent the portable CNC plotter to plot any unexceptionable design by CD/DVD driver that should be easily available to make CNC plotter/3D printer .Computer numerical control (CNC) can be used to describe many types of device like Plotter, 3D printer, Milling machines, Vinyl cutter and others. CNC basically means that the physical movement of the machine that must be controlled by any type of controller (like Arduino UNO). The controller must be conducted by any computing device. This whole plotter/printer system is working based on G-Codes. G-Codes are used to give commends or instructions. Computer numerical control is use in any machine that moves in different direction like X-axis and Y-axis and code will instruct it exactly where to go and Z-axis control the depth. The movement in the direction of X, Y will be manipulated by stepper motor of CD/DVD driver and Z-direction will be control by a 3D Pen conducted with a servo motor.

In conventional protection schemes of D.C. grid, the protection only is provided on A.C. side of the link using A.C. circuit breaker where A.C. and DC grids are interconnected, there were no any protection percolated on D.C. side. When fault occurs in D.C. system A.C .breakers sense and isolate whole D.C. link, causing completely de-energizing the D.C. link. Also, the current power electronic devices cannot survive or sustain high magnitude faults. Converters will shut down to protect themselves under faulted conditions. This causes unnecessary outage in the system. Also fault current is not extinguished quickly which is harmful for the converters. The objective of this innovation which presented in this paper is to detect and isolate only faulty section of the system and maintain supply continuity. This avoids the complete shutdown of whole system. Fault current in the isolated section is extinguished quickly through the diodes and resistors. It minimizes damage to the system. So healthy sections are operated without any disturbance and supply continuity is maintained through other buses.

Bigdata inspires new ways to transform processes, organizations, entire industries and even society itself. Yet extensive media coverage makes it hard to distinguish hype from reality. Big data is a collection of massive and complex data sets that include the huge quantities of data, social media analytics, data management capabilities, real-time data. Big Data includes e-mail messages, snaps, business deals, surveillance video recordings, posts of social Medias, mobile phone GPS signals and RFID readers, microphones, cameras, sensors and activity logs. That’s why, the data that exceeds the processing capacity of conventional database systems. Big data processing such as Hadoop which uses the map-reduce paradigm. Using MapReduce programming paradigm, the big data is processed. Whatever the label, organizations are starting to understand and explore how to process and analyze a vast array of information in new ways. This paper will explain about HDFS architecture, high volume of data storage and query processing.

A slurry erosion wear problem occurs generally in transportation of solid liquid mixtures, pumps, hydro turbines, petroleum extraction well. In this project test samples of stainless steel (304) and stainless steel (202) were casted and their slurry erosion behaviours were statically studied by using slurry pot tester machine. Study of slurry erosion is important as it adversely affects the useful life and performance of the equipment handling slurries such as heat exchangers, pumps etc. The main objective of the present study is to find the effect of change in operating parameters on erosion wear of sample subjected to sand-water slurry. The main operating parameters which are examined are molarity and slurry concentration. Experiments are conducted in nine sets with three combinations of particle velocity, slurry concentration and molarity. The erosion of the samples was measured by mass loss of the materials. In this study the design of experiments was considered using Taguchi technique. A comparison has been made for the experimental and Taguchi technique results.

In this paper, a human computer interface using eye movement is introduced. This eye tracking technique provide hand free access to the handicapped people. In this technique we use eyes instead of input devices. This system tracks the users eye movement with a camera mounted over user’s face and translate them into the movement of mouse cursor on screen and also detect user’s eye staring on icon and translate it into click operation on screen.

Angiogenesis, the sprouting of new blood vessels from pre-existing, vessels is a crucial process for tumor growth and metastasis. It is a physiological process required for wound healing, repair, embryonic development. Immediately after injury, angiogenesis is initiated by multiple molecular signals, including pro-angiogenic factors, angiopoietins, inflammation, cytokine growth factors, and cell-matrix interactions. Imbalance in this factors leads to disease condition like excessive angiogenesis in tumour. Different parts of Parkiabiglandulosa shows activity like anti ulcer, anti inflammatory, anti bacterial, anti fungal. Based on composition of different phytoconstituents like gallic acid, lupeol, campestrol and β-sitosterol plant was selected for the targeting of angiogenesis. β-sitosterol was isolated from crude extract by using different solvents on flash chromatography. In this study anti angiogenic effect was studied at low and high doses of EEPB (ethanolic extract parkiabiglandulosa), its isolate β-sitosterol and standard imatnibmesylate was studied on regenerational and developmental model of zebrafish and their embryos.

The semi-automatic MV coil taping tool machine is a machine which is used in taping MV coil used in MV motors. In the past, the whole process was done manually with hands by workers, which led to inconsistency and inaccuracy. Semi-Automatic Coil Taping Machines eliminate the inconsistency and inaccuracy that results while doing manually. Semi-Automatic taping tool machine is cost efficient and gives quality insulation also it requires less man power with no skilled worker required. In this automatic coil taping machine the taping head is weightlessly suspended from an overhead track way, and provides a fast; accurate and consistent method of operator guided mechanized tape application with virtually no preparation or very less set up time being required.

The development of an automatic telemedicine system for computer-aided screening and grading of diabetic retinopathy depends on reliable detection of retinal lesions in fundus images. The main contribution is a new set of texture features called Gabor features that do not require precise segmentation of the regions to be classified. These features represent the evolution of the textures during image flooding and allow to discriminate between lesions and vessel segments. Among several retinal vascular signs, Arteriolar-to-Venular Ratio (AVR) is a well known health biomarker and there is a strong need to develop an automated system for an accurate and reproducible estimation of AVR which requires different image analysis tools. Automatic and accurate blood vessel segmentation system could provide several useful features for diagnosis of various retinal diseases, and reduce the doctor’s workload.We list publicly available databases and appropriate measurement techniques to compare quantitatively the performance of these approaches. Furthermore, we discuss on how the performance of image processing-based systems can be improved by fusing the output of individual detector algorithms. This paper presents a new supervised method for segmentation of blood vessels in retinal photographs. This method uses an ensemble system of bagged and boosted decision trees and utilizes a feature vector based on the orientation analysis of gradient vector field, morphological transformation, line strength measures, and Gabor filter responses. In this paper, we have presented an effective retinal vessel segmentation technique based on supervised classification using an ensemble classifier of boosted and bagged decision trees.

LSTM network model was the first RNN with greatest achievement in pattern recognition contest in 2014. RNN can be used in its various architecture forms depending on the needs. Here we provide brief summary of various RNN networks up to now with Why? How? When? to use this network. Different architecture showed that recurrent neural network is mostly network with feed -forward and if want to store some information fed-back.

The movement of the human arm in 3D space is captured using Kinect, processed using MATLAB and simulated on the mechanical arm using servo motors, controlled by microcontroller.

This publication is a literature survey on OSA Obstructive Sleep Apnea, carried out with help from reputed physicians. The inputs from Polysomnography Centre are also considered in this study. The major points included in this study are the basic information about OSA, its symptoms’, the diagnosis and treatment options available. Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is the most common type of sleep apnea and is caused by complete or partial obstructions of the upper airway. It is characterized by repetitive episodes of shallow or paused breathing during sleep, despite the effort to breathe, and is usually associated with a reduction in blood oxygen saturation.

In cryptography, encryption is the process of obscuring information to make it unreadable without special knowledge. This is usually done for secrecy, and typically for confidential communications.
A cryptosystem consists of five parts
• A set P of plain texts
• A set C of cipher texts
• A set K of keys
• A pair of functions
Encrypt: K X P -> C
Decrypt: K X C -> P
Such that for every key k ∈ K and plaintext p ϵ P
Decrypt (k, encrypt (k, p)) = p
[1] In the paper “Substitution Based Encryption Model for Cloud Data Storage” an attempt has been made to generate an algorithm which provides security to data transmitted over internet. The algorithm considers a random matrix key and a ternary vector which on execution by a series of steps generates a sequence. This sequence is used as a sub key to build encryption model.
In this paper some enhancement to “Substitution Based Encryption Model for Cloud Data Storage” by Arya A. and Ameta G. is proposed; in particular proposed model uses double key instead of single key. Further a study on analysis of both the algorithm is presented.

BACKGROUND: OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study is to immediate effects of simple quadriceps exercises in osteoarthritis knee pain among overweight individuals.
STUDY DESIGN: Quasi- experimental.
METHODS: This experimental study was conducted on 30 male and female patients (aged above 60 years) s. 30 subjects were divided into 2 groups, the outcome measures, grip strength was measured using handheld dynamometer and hand function using Michigan hand outcome questionnaire.
RESULTS: There is a statistical significance on comparison of pre and post mean values of functional task exercises group on grip strength measurements of both hands( Right p=0.001, Left p=0.000) and 3 components of Michigan hand outcome questionnaire (OAHF: over all hand function(p=0.002), ADL: activity of daily living (p=0.000) and work(p=0.001). The comparison of pre and post mean values of resistance exercises group also shows statistically significant effect on grip strength measurements of both hands ( Right p=0.000, Left p=0.000) and 4 components of Michigan hand outcome measure questionnaire (OAHF: over all hand function(p=0.001), ADL: activity of daily living(p=0.002) ,work(p=0.005) and satisfaction (p=0.005). But there is no statistical significance on comparing the post test mean values of hand grip strength and Michigan Hand Outcome measure Questionnaire between both the functional task exercises (Group A) and resistance exercises (Group B).
CONCLUSION: There is no statistically significant difference between functional task exercises and resistance exercises in improving the grip strength and hand function in elderly population

Hard turning is a developing technology that offers many potential benefits compared to grinding, which remains the standard finishing process for critical hardened surfaces. To increase the implementation of this technology, questions about the ability of this process to produce surfaces that meet surface finish and integrity requirements must be answered. Among the by-products that we get from sugarcane, bagasse is the most relevant and important. As the natural resources are being depleted, use of bagasse as an alternative resource is being encouraged. The pith from the useful fibrous material of sugarcane is separated by various means viz. dry depithing, wet depithing and chemical depithing. The use of chemicals for pith separation is expensive so mechanical ways are used for pith separation. The purpose of the project is to reduce the pith content and separate it from the useful fibre at a faster rate. The design and calculations of the centrifugal separator for pith separation are explained in the paper.

BACKGROUND: Falls in the elderly females living in rural community leads to more Mortality and morbidity in recent years. Exercises are important to minimize disability and to prevent falls in elderly. The primary mechanism responsible for most of these structural changes is a decrease in muscle power, cardio vascular changes and reduction in the number of neurons., Exercise is a medicine to prevent and minimize the above Physiological changes.
OBJECTIVE: To find out the effect of exercises in improving range of motion, Muscle power and balance in female elders in rural community.
METHODS: Quasi Experimental design, pre – post study type with 30 samples at Rural study Setting.
RESULTS: progressive resisted exercises improved range of motion, Muscle power and balance in female elders Significantly (P<0.005). Conclusion: Hence we concluded that the above study progressive resistance exercise gives a significant improvement in muscle power, range of motion and balance in hip knee and ankle for female elders.

The analysis of the airline data set is performed using Cloudera which runs Hadoop in the cloud. Hive and Hive QL statements have been used for querying the data. Data visualization has been done by extracting the output of the HIVE query in excel and plotting the data using line and scatter plot charts. The visualization of the data shows some patterns that exist between flight diversions and flight distance, flight cancellation and flight distance and so forth. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) tracks the on-time performance of domestic flights operated by large air carriers. Summary information on the number of on-time, delayed, canceled, and diverted flights appear in DOT’s monthly Air Travel Consumer Report, published about 30 days after the month’s end, as well as in summary tables posted on this website. Summary statistics and raw data are made available to the public at the time the Air Travel Consumer Report is released.

The road pavement is first designed for conventional granular layers in sub-base and base of the road and then for cement treated sub-base and base using IRC recommendation given in IRC 37: 2012. The pavement is designed for both the cases for varying values of effective CBR from 3% to 15% and for various values of design traffic varying for 2 msa to 150 msa. The paper brings forth the suitability of flexible pavement with cement treated sub-base and base vis a vis the conventional flexible pavement.

Geopolymer concrete (GPC) is becoming a sustainable concrete when comparing to ordinary Portland cement (OPC) concrete. This investigation is mainly focused on the preliminary study on fly ash (FA) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) based GPC using copper slag (CS) and vermiculite (VM) as fine aggregate replacement at different levels (0%, 20% and 40%). The compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) values of GPC mixes (FA50-GGBS50) were determined after 7 and 28 days of ambient room temperature curing. In this study, sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution is used as alkaline activator. Test results revealed that the increased replacement level of copper slag increased the GPC properties. Whereas, the increased replacement level of vermiculite decreased the GPC properties.

To study Comparative studies on the growth and yield of Brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) var PLR 2 based on Bioinoculants and inorganic fertilizers. Bioinoculants and inorganic fertilizers to boost the productivity potential of yield of Brinjal. Significant difference in all parameter like plant height, number of leaves, leaf area and number of branches due to combined application of Bioinoculants and inorganic fertilizers. Maximum plant height 96.45 cm were observed in treatment 8 containing urea, super phosphate, Muriate of potash, AM Fungi, Phosphobacteria (Bacillus megaterium) (each 5g/pot). The maximum number of flowers 37 per plant was produced in T8 treatment and the maximum number of fruits 29/plant. The highest fruit weight was 90 g observed in T8 and leaf area fairly gives a good idea of photosynthetic capacity of plant. Significant difference s were noticed with regards to leaf area index among the treatments at all growth stages.

The modern technology has increased the standard of living for the humans. Every one of us craves for a quality in everything we use in our daily lives. So, this has resulted in large crowds at shopping malls which have to lead to long lines at the billing counter because the cashier has to scan every product item and then enter it into the billing record. The prevailing billing system is a bit time-consuming. So, we have an idea of inventing a remedial electronic product to catch-up with this problem. We call it “Smart trolley with the automatic billing”.
RFID generally encompasses any wireless (or partially wireless) communication that allows for remote retrieval of information associated with a particular commodity, product, component, or another item. This project put forwards a unique solution to reduce the average time a customer spends at a supermarket. The product with the appropriate tag is read by the reader on the cart and the product’s details are displayed on the LCD screen placed on the trolley. As the customer puts each product in the trolley, it gets detected. The information of these products along with the bill amount is displayed on the LCD display. The bill amount is sent from the trolley to the server (database) via ZIGBEE which is a short-range wireless communication

In recent times the concept of smart cities has gained great popularity. Thanks to the evolution of Internet of things the idea of smart city now seems to be achievable. Consistent efforts are being made in the field of IOT in order to maximize the productivity and reliability of urban infrastructure. Problems such as, traffic congestion, limited car parking facilities and road safety are being addressed by IOT. In this paper, we present an IOT based cloud integrated smart parking system. The proposed Smart Parking system consists of an on-site deployment of an IOT module that is used to monitor and signalize the state of availability of each single parking space. A mobile application is also provided that allows an end user to check the availability of parking space and book a parking slot accordingly. The paper also describes a high-level view of the system architecture. Towards the end, the paper discusses the working of the system in form of a use case that proves the correctness of the proposed.

So, in this project mainly focus is given to detection of enemy and protection alert for the army base. A robot will be semi-autonomous operated and will detect enemies approaching the army base using camera and send required information to the army base so that they can take essential steps against it. This robot will be equipped with missiles which will be launched by the army or operated by the army wirelessly. This project will definitely improve the protection for our Indian army and send important alerts to them.

It also gives the idea how the above mentioned problems are overcome. As protecting crop from the animals is the major concern, so firstly this proposal focused on farm protection which is based on the traditional method of protecting field from animals. For implementing the idea of farm protection PIR sensor, RF module, AVR controller and fire generating circuit with crackers are used.

In today’s world things should be work with less time consumption and accuracy, so here we came up with an idea which is going to help handicaps which works as a helping hand. For them in this world which is full of technologies. The main focus is on railway station platform. They face many problems while accessing staircases and high altitude area with their wheel chairs and etc. So, to help them we came up with an idea named as “self guided auto platform for handicapped”. The system works on basic data communication and the base motion. It will have robust mechanical structure like a trolley which can be further intended for other uses. In the mechanical part of this structure contains material are water resistant, it can withstand in any type of whether, atmospheric conditions and it can easily carry heavy loads/weights. In this system we are using Arduino UNO board as main controller, color sensor for sensing the exact location of bogie door, for communication purpose we are using Zigbee to communicate with control system by which we can know that it is going to stop and start. The overall system of self guided auto platform will is a line follower which will start with signal from Zigbee. After this it activates the trolley and then trolley is such that it levels the train’s door height by which users can easily enters into the trains. This trolley is designed in such a way that users can use it easily in slope areas also. The inclined angle is tentaviley decided around 15-30 degree. So, when users get entered into train then when train departs the Zigbee module gives signal to trolley and with the help of time then when train departs the Zigbee module gives signal to trolley and with the help of time break trolley comes back to its initial position and after some time it again goes back to its starting position.

Plastic usage has been increasing in many consumer products. After usage most of the products are not recycled for the plastic. This may be due to lack of awareness to the people who use it or due to lack of proper recycling facilities. Plastic pollution is increasing day by day. Though it is a known fact plastic usage can’t be completely eliminated due to their attractive characteristics and easy processing methods. Plastic pollution not only affects human life by lying in the soil but also affects adversely marine life and can cause tremendous changes in climate. This paper aims to modify the design of plastic consumer products so that plastic pollution on the earth can be minimized with minimum usage of plastics.

The kinetics of oxidation of tartaric acid (TA) by diperiodatocuprate(III) (DPC) in aqueous alkaline medium at a constant ionic strength of 0.05 mol dm-3 was studied spectrophotometrically. The main oxidation product was identified as methanal (HCHO). The stoichiometry was found to be 1:2 ([TA] : [DPC]). The order of reaction with respect to [DPC] and [TA] was unity. The rate decreased with increase in [OH-] and [IO4-] over the concentration range studied. The ionic strength and dielectric constant of the medium did not affect the rate significantly. Based on the experimental results, a possible mechanism involving free radicals was proposed. The activation parameters were determined and discussed. Kinetics study suggests that the active species of DPC is found to be monoperiodatocuprate(III), [Cu(OH)2(H3IO6)]–
