Abstract
The google form questionnaire was the main tool used in data gathering. The respondents are 224 grade 12 senior high school students in Eastern Tabuk District schools. The statistical tools used were the frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and single factor Analysis of ANOVA.
The Holland Code (RIASEC) test result determined the most preferred career are Social, Realistic, and Investigative careers while Artistic, Enterprising and Conventional are least preferred by the Grade 12 senior high school students in Eastern Tabuk District. Students who are social types are people like to work with other people rather than things, Realistic types of students are often good at mechanical or athletic jobs, and Investigative types of students who like to watch, learn, analyze and solve problems. Students with similar personality types such as Social, Realistic, and Investigative can build a workplace that is conducive to their style. Their work settings can also be categorized according to their interest, talents and expressing their morals and attitudes.
The identified most preferred course of the senior high school students in Eastern Tabuk District is the Social Science courses which includes the course in Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science while the least preferred by 1 or 0.45 percent of the respondent under the media and communication course is Bachelor of Science in Development Communication.
The extent of factors that affect the senior high school student course preference obtained a total average weighted mean of 3.60 described as much affected. This implies that most of the grade 12 senior high school students in Eastern Tabuk District are much affected with the factors that affect the senior high school student course preference.
There are no significant differences on the extent of factors that affect the senior high school student course preference in Eastern Tabuk District as to age, sex, school affiliation and monthly family income.
