Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between financial management and job satisfaction among elementary teachers at Don Carlos Central Elementary School for the School Year 2025-2026. The study specifically focused on the level of financial management in terms of financial control and financial operations, and the level of job satisfaction concerning working conditions, career advancement and promotion, peer relations, and the nature of work. Data were collected using two adapted survey questionnaires on Financial Management and Job Satisfaction. The study employed descriptive statistics to determine the levels of financial management and job satisfaction, while descriptive correlation was used to assess the relationship between the variables.
The findings indicated that teachers' financial management practices were generally very good, with an overall mean of 4.31, and the job satisfaction level was also high, with an overall mean of 4.52. Significant relationships were found between financial management and job satisfaction (r = 0.472, p = 0.001), indicating that as financial management improved, so did job satisfaction.
Based on these results, the study recommends that teachers strengthen their financial management practices, participate in financial literacy programs, and focus on professional development. School administrators are advised to continue improving systems that support financial management and promote job satisfaction. Education policymakers are encouraged to design policies that enhance teachers' financial management skills and improve their work environment. Future researchers are encouraged to conduct similar studies in other schools to validate these findings and explore additional factors affecting financial management and job satisfaction.
