Abstract
This paper aims to bring the development practices of AR and VR technology in education over the past five years, including the years 2020 - 2025. Using the literature analysis approach, I have selected several different articles, including well-known platforms such as: Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), IEEE Xplore Digital Library, Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct and ACM Digital Library.
AR and VR technology is a technology in the initial stage in terms of their use in the field of education. Moreover, Virtual Reality Environments and Holograms – are two features of this technology, which as such, rank this technology in the group of revolutionary technologies in education.
This technology has the potential to change the state of education in general. This changes the approach of teachers and students. I say this because, through this technology, the physical classroom is transformed into a virtual e reality environment. The increase in teacher-student interaction in these Virtual Reality Environments, as well as the increase in quality in education through this technology, makes it a revolutionary technology.
Within the framework of this paper, I have raised four research questions and two hypotheses. The data will be collected through an electronic questionnaire (Google form) from, mainly, professionals from different countries of the world, using various social networks such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., and the analysis will be done through the MS Excel 2021 application program.
The hypotheses raised, as such, have been confirmed. From the hypotheses raised, it is proven that AR&VR technology is a technology that affects the increase in quality in education, also, the creation of virtual environments through this technology affects the increase in student-student and teacher-student interactivity! This paper ends with debates about results and some conclusions.
