Abstract
The present study aims to examine the contribution of Education as a discipline towards improving teacher effectiveness. Education provides teachers with knowledge of teaching-learning processes, educational psychology, pedagogy, assessment, classroom management, and professional skills. The study adopts meta analysis to understand how these aspects contribute to effective teaching. The study is expected to highlight that knowledge of Education helps teachers develop effective teaching practices, professional competencies, and learner-centred approaches. The study concludes that Education as a discipline plays an important role in developing effective and competent teachers.
